One day, the United Kingdom experienced some heavy snowfall overnight. The country had been warned that this might happen but had done very little to prepare.
When the snowfall came the whole of the country was frozen with schools closing, shops closing and even leisure centres failing to open. The country was at a standstill for over 3 days just because of this foot of snow.
Temporary signs were put up and the public panicked. This snow could last for hours, even days. And so the people of Britain went to sleep on Thursday 7th January worrying, hoping that tomorrow would bring better things.
But already reports were coming in of more school closures and early signs pointed to one conclusion. That this weekend, was to be a 4 day weekend.
