Hello old friend,
It's been a long time since I posted on here, and alot has happened since the election, which I lost by the way, but I did get over 300 votes so I would like to say thankyou to every single one of you, it really was heartwarming to see I had so much support, I am talking of course, about the UKYP elections, not the General Election.
Things with SNYA have unfortunately taken a turn for the worst. I was unfairly dismissed and I really am trying hard to get justice. The SNYA management keep deleting any post on their facebook that agrees with me, and ignore my attempts to contact them. I feel that SNYA has become a dictatorship, information is being sensored etc. It is a very sad time.
But that brings me on to something better! Frost Radio, my new project is getting a kick start, we look to be the first Independant Youth Radio station in South Norfolk. We have various meetings planned and if we are lucky we should be up and running by the end of this year, which would be absolutely amazing!
Diss Youth Council, well with alot of the officers leaving for college we will have to have new elections so you may see me losing my position of Vice Chair soon! Or I might get a brand new title who knows?
So all in all it has been a horrible few weeks, some really terrible things have happened to me, and indeed to the world, we have seen the Volcanic Ash cloud, and most recently and horribly devastating is the BP Oil Disaster.
This whole thing shows that Oil is not worth it's price, and that we need to start thinking about other ways to fuel our cars and heat our houses because first of all, it's going to run out and secondly, disasters like this aren't uncommon, and we as a species need to step up our game and take responsibility for our actions.
